Start the Year Strong: Why Orientation Events at TVHS Are Essential for Success!

At Tanque Verde High School, we believe that a strong start leads to a successful year. That’s why we’re excited to welcome all new families and incoming 9th grade students with two key events designed to build confidence, connection, and clarity from day one.

🏫 New Family Orientation – July 22, 2025, at 5 PM

Location: Tanque Verde High School MPR

Your attendance is not just encouraged—it’s essential.
This orientation is a cornerstone of our commitment to strong partnerships between school and home. Whether you’re brand-new to our community or already have older students enrolled, this meeting ensures that you’re up-to-date on expectations, values, and any new changes at TVHS.

At the orientation, families will:

  • Learn about school values and expectations

  • Receive key information about academics, communication, and support services

  • Meet staff and administration

  • Discover how to stay involved and informed

We require that all new families make this event a priority before their student’s first year at TVHS to help create a smooth and successful transition into high school life.

Designed just for our incoming freshmen, this half-day event helps new Hawks feel prepared and excited for the year ahead. Students will:

  • Tour the campus

  • Learn about daily life at TVHS

  • Meet peers and student leaders
