The Swim Hawks delivered an impressive performance last weekend at the CDO Classic, finishing 4th out of 20 teams across all three divisions. Both the Men’s and Women’s teams showcased determination, breaking records and earning dozens of provisional state qualifying times.
Men’s Team Dominates Division III
The Men’s team claimed 4th place overall and secured the top spot in Division III. Their standout weekend was highlighted by four new school records, plus 3 relay and 13 individual provisional state qualifying times.
New School Records

State Provisional Qualifiers
Zach Duerkop, Jackson Eftekhar, Bennett Johnston, Jack Machamer, Kent Olsson, Wade Olsson, and Grayson The all secured individual provisional times, putting them on track for a strong postseason.
Women’s Team Breaks Through
The Women’s team also made waves, finishing 7th overall and 3rd in Division III. Their combined efforts earned 2 relay and 21 individual provisional state qualifying times.
State Provisional Qualifiers
Amira Alitiem, Laila Alitiem, Rachel Anderson, Maddie Barnard, Ella Bissmeyer, Isla Cerepak, Hadley Cusson, Kadynce Drummond, Stella Eftekhar, Lilly Niccum, Talia Schwab, Lugan Sulger, and Adrianna Witte all punched their tickets with strong swims.
Looking Ahead
With momentum building, the Hawks now turn their focus to the Arena High School Classic this Saturday at the University of Arizona, where they’ll continue to test themselves against top competition.
