Davey Batten

Tanque Verde High School proudly celebrates one of its own for outstanding character, leadership, and service.

Cameron “Davey” Batten has been named the recipient of the prestigious “I Can Do It Award” for Community Service, recognizing his exceptional dedication to helping others and strengthening the school community.

Davey is known across campus as a true servant leader. He consistently arrives early to welcome students and staff, offering a friendly face to start the day. Whether assisting teachers without hesitation or organizing events like a hotdog barbecue for Back-to-School Night, Davey goes out of his way to bring people together.

His commitment to putting others first extends beyond organized activities. Davey is always ready to lend a hand—whether it’s cleaning up a spill, running an errand, or simply helping a peer—because, as those around him note, “it’s just the right thing to do.”

In the classroom, Davey demonstrates the mindset of a dedicated learner. He takes pride in his work, learns from his mistakes, and confidently seeks help when needed—setting a positive example for his peers.

Outside of academics, Davey is an active team player, participating in baseball, soccer, and basketball for both school and community teams. His involvement reflects not only his athleticism but also his commitment to teamwork and connection.

Perhaps most notably, Davey is known for his positive spirit. His kindness, generosity, and joyful attitude uplift everyone around him, making a lasting impact on the Tanque Verde High School community.
