The PSAT is coming up on October 30th! 9th-11th graders who signed up to take the exam will be testing all morning. We will not have classes during testing time (non-testers should not come to school until 12:10pm. There are three options for families to choose from between 12:10-3:15pm:

OPTION 1: Students can sign up to volunteer as part of our annual Community Connection event at Agua Caliente Elementary. Students who did not test in the morning will arrive between 12:10-12:30 (12:10 if they want lunch). Testers who are already on campus will be able to eat and walk over to volunteer with this group! Have your student sign up for this option here

OPTION 2: Students can have a study hall in the MPR from 12:10-3:15pm

OPTION 3: Parents can excuse the absence and keep their child at home. (pro tip: You can put in this absence ahead of time on the parentvue app) See the flyer below for how to do this.

Our recipient of the Legendary Teacher Award for TVUSD selected by the Legendary Teacher Day committee.

Ms. Kristensen is the Gifted Teacher at Agua Caliente Elementary School and was nominated by Ms. Jennifer Uhrlaub Schauer, a parent in the district.

"What I’ve always admired most is your patient, thoughtful, and individualized approach to teaching. You take the time to truly understand each student, helping them grow not just academically but also in confidence and creativity" wrote Ms. Uhrlaub Schauer.

The TVUSD buses will not run for Tanque Verde High School students the morning of September 18th due to the late-in-schedule. Buses will run after school ends in the afternoon.

Choose real-time alerts, hourly updates, or a once-a-day digest.

1. Open TVUSD app
2. Tap "More"
3. Then the Settings Icon at the top right
4. Select "Notification preferences" 
5. Customize your Preferences for Messages and Announcements

Don't forget that tomorrow is Parent Open House! We will kick things off in the TVHS Gym (same building as the MPR) at 5:15pm before dismissing you to your child's 1st period class! The Taco Stop food truck will be on site selling dinner options as well! This is an incredibly important part of the year--your children have world class educators who are excited to share their plans with you!
