We will offer a range of engaging activities for all ages across various science disciplines.
Here are some of the attractions:
Panning for gold
Experience the strength of atmospheric pressure on your body and on various objects
Extracting DNA
Observing the reaction that makes fireflies glow
Take a tour of a cell and learn about various organelles, including some cool neuroscience experiments
Using light to create art
Constructing a lava lamp
Play with robots and computer games
The highlight of the event will be the Egg Drop Engineering Challenge - an exciting opportunity to design a package that prevents an egg from cracking. Visitors will compete in four age groups (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12), with all construction completed on-site using provided materials, fostering a sense of achievement and fun.
All visitors will receive an Activities Passport, which serves as a checklist of activities. The Activities Passport will be stamped upon completion of an activity. Visitors should ask the presenters in each room about the timeframe for the various fun demonstrations, which take place several times per evening.

Arizona law provides a "dollar-for-dollar" tax credit to the taxpayer when they make a Tax Credit donation to a public school to support extracurricular activities or character education.
When making a Tax Credit donation, the taxpayer designates where a portion of their tax dollars are spent, and those tax dollars will go DIRECTLY to the TVUSD school and/or program selected.

OPTION 1: Students can sign up to volunteer as part of our annual Community Connection event at Agua Caliente Elementary. Students who did not test in the morning will arrive between 12:10-12:30 (12:10 if they want lunch). Testers who are already on campus will be able to eat and walk over to volunteer with this group! Have your student sign up for this option here
OPTION 2: Students can have a study hall in the MPR from 12:10-3:15pm
OPTION 3: Parents can excuse the absence and keep their child at home. (pro tip: You can put in this absence ahead of time on the parentvue app) See the flyer below for how to do this.

Our recipient of the Legendary Teacher Award for TVUSD selected by the Legendary Teacher Day committee.
Ms. Kristensen is the Gifted Teacher at Agua Caliente Elementary School and was nominated by Ms. Jennifer Uhrlaub Schauer, a parent in the district.
