IMPORTANT EVENT REMINDERS THIS WEEK for SENIORS:
Please remember that tomorrow night is our annual senior declaration and honors night. All seniors should attend and bring their families with them! This event will be on the stadium field. We ask you to bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on the field where the event will take place. In the past, families have brought snacks and even dinner to enjoy with one another. Additionally, all seniors and their families are asked to wear clothing depicting the plans of the graduate for next year! (UofA t-shirt, etc...) We will do our annual roll call to announce all our seniors' future plans, and it is really fun to see them all together, excited about what the future holds!
We ask you to arrive between 6 pm and 6:45 pm to enjoy the company of your children and other families! We will start right at 7 pm.
Senior check-out forms are due on Friday! These must be completed and turned in on Friday. If students do not have this completed and/or are failing any classes needed for graduation, they will not walk at Tuesday night's graduation ceremony (no exceptions!)

This past weekend, we had two outstanding students represent us at the Optimist Club State Competition! 🎤
Sadie Fata and Hope Trask delivered their speeches in front of a panel of judges, competing against nine other talented students from across the state.
We’re especially proud to share that Hope Trask earned 3rd place overall and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Optimist Club! 🏆

Please join us at Tanque Verde High School on Wednesday, February 4, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for our free community event, 2026 TVHS Science Night. This event is open to all community members, parents, students, and educators interested in science activities.
We will offer a range of engaging activities for all ages across various science disciplines.
Here are some of the attractions:
Panning for gold
Experience the strength of atmospheric pressure on your body and on various objects
Extracting DNA
Observing the reaction that makes fireflies glow
Take a tour of a cell and learn about various organelles, including some cool neuroscience experiments
Using light to create art
Constructing a lava lamp
Play with robots and computer games
The highlight of the event will be the Egg Drop Engineering Challenge - an exciting opportunity to design a package that prevents an egg from cracking. Visitors will compete in four age groups (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12), with all construction completed on-site using provided materials, fostering a sense of achievement and fun.
All visitors will receive an Activities Passport, which serves as a checklist of activities. The Activities Passport will be stamped upon completion of an activity. Visitors should ask the presenters in each room about the timeframe for the various fun demonstrations, which take place several times per evening.
